Vitamin C clay mask

Vitamin C is such a hot topic in skincare these days. You can find it in so many different skin products, from serums to moisturizers and even face masks.

And there’s no denying that Vitamin C has many incredible benefits for the skin. It’s an antioxidant that can lighten hyperpigmentation and brown spots, evens the skin tone while revealing more radiant and brighter skin. I say, count me in!

While we are on the Vitamin C subject, I wanted to introduce you to a product I recently found, and I think it can benefit anyone who wants glowy skin (and who doesn’t?). It’s a Vitamin C Clay mask with turmeric and aloe.

This mask has some fantastic benefits for the skin, and because of the two different types of clay in it (Australian white clay and yellow Australian clay), it works really well at reducing acne and scarring.

I’ve been a fan of skincare products that contain clay for many years now, so it’s no surprise to me that I liked this product. Clay just works.

But what about clay and vitamin C together? Here are a few things to know about this acne mask.

WHY SHOULD I TRY IT?

A few of the reasons I think this product is worth trying is that the ingredients work well to deliver radiant and glowy skin. I’m sure we can agree that there’s nothing more youthful than healthy-looking skin.

At the same time, it’s great for people that struggle with acne or scarring.

Over time it can fade dark spots, you can notice improved skin texture and visibly more even skin tone.

Finally, this Vitamin C Clay Mask is safe for all skin types, and it’s vegan and cruelty-free.

WHAT ARE THE KEY INGREDIENTS?

  • Kaolin (Australian White Clay), a mild exfoliant, works well at removing dead skin cells and reducing the size of your pores.
  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, which is anti-inflammatory and soothes the skin and helps reduce scars.
  • Castor oil & turmeric are both very effective in reducing acne because of their anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Vitamin C to brighten and lighten the skin.

While these are some of the main ingredients, a few others worth mentioning are sweet almond oil, jasmine flower extract, and yellow Australian clay.

I wanted to share that when I first saw turmeric in the ingredients, I was expecting to end up with a yellowish-orange face. You know what I’m talking about if you’ve tried a turmeric DIY face mask at home. However, I’m glad to report that the mask is stain-free, and I didn’t experience any staining.

HOW TO USE THE VITAMIN C CLAY MASK?

I usually use a gentle cleanser to make sure my skin is clean before applying the mask. Then I use the small brush that comes with the mask to spread it evenly on my face, avoiding the eye area.

Next, I let it sit for 10-13 minutes or until it’s fully dry on my face.

Then I wet a cloth with warm water and gently wipe my face with it, making sure I get everything off. You don’t need to use a cloth; it’s very easy to clean the mask just with warm water.

That’s it!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE IT?

This really depends on your skin. If your skin is more on the sensitive side, stick with one application per week. This is what I usually do, and I find that it works well for me.

I hope this post was informative enough and helpful to anyone looking to try Gleamin’s Vitamin C Clay Mask. If you’ve tried this product before, I’d love to hear what your experience was and how it helped your skin.
