We have finally moved into a bigger place here in the Hague, it’s spacious with large windows that fill the place with lots of natural light and it’s in a great neighborhood, something that I really like. So, everything is great, right? wrong… :) We don’t have a closet in the main bedroom. I thought about the idea of buying dressers but I didn’t know how to fix the situation with the clothes I have to hang, like dresses and shirts.
So I looked into some open closet ideas using a clothing rack. A Pinterest favorite that has become really popular lately. It looks really stylish and chic. It’s a nice way to see all of your clothes and pick an outfit fast. Best of all, it’s great for people always on the go, like us. When you live somewhere temporarily, it’s not worth it to invest in furniture that you won’t be able to move across the country or the world.
Having an open closet by using a clothing rack also forces you to keep your clothes organized, because if you don’t, well that will be the first thing you see every day. It’s a really simple solution, that you can either purchase from a store or do it yourself. Either way, you can customize it depending on your needs and the type of clothes you have. Most clothing racks have a shelf on the bottom where you can store your purses or shoes.

Great inspiration for organization and styling your closet. It seems like organizing and styling a closet wouldn’t be as crucial, but if it’s open and you have to look at everyday, it changes what you do. Fantastic ideas!
Yes, that’s true! You need to keep it nice and organized at all times, but it looks really chic and pretty :) it’s worth it. xx
When I lived in Paris we didn’t have a closet – it’s hard to get used to but an open closet is actually a lot of fun to have because it makes your clothing almost like pieces of art in their own right. Plus, you always know exactly what you have! It makes getting dressed in the morning much easier :)

Absolutely! Thank you for commenting! :)
These open closet ideas are great! I have a small apartment so I’ve been forced to hang coats in my office area.

My advise: Unless you have a lot of clothes that match one another and are of similar color then you are pretty much going to have a rainbow in your room. So I would suggest getting a cupboard from Ikea or something. Otherwise if you are super organized then I would go for the rack of clothing for display!

What great ideas, I have never thought about having an opening closet. Probably because I’m a little messy – haha. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely gorgeous! I especially adore the last one – that copper clothes rack is amazing! I’ve wanted to have an open closet for ages now but never got around to do it. Please show yours once you have it :)

I never really thought about open closets! I think they’re cool in pictures but I think unless you happen to have only one colour of clothing, they’d probably look a little less perfect in person haha. Love the idea though!

True, it’s challenging to have one and keep it nice! If you have lots of colors you need to organize your clothes by color, I found this works best for me. :)
I love this!
