Tea Cups and Tulips is a life and style blog that highlights a little bit of everything I love – outfits, skincare, adventures in motherhood and everything in between.
I was born and raised in Bulgaria – a small country in Eastern Europe. Let me start by saying that I always thought of myself as more of an analytical than a creative person up until college. I went to a high school in Sofia, Bulgaria, where I focused predominantly on math and computers. Consequently, after high school, I went to college, pursuing a degree in computer engineering.
During my second year of college, I was starting to get bored, and I wasn’t sure I chose the right major for me. Around that time, I found out that I’m able to apply for a second degree, while I’m still pursuing my first. I signed up for graphic and web design. This was it! I landed where I should have been from the beginning.
I started focusing predominantly on Photoshop and manipulating images. Which led me to my job as a digital artist and retoucher.
Tea Cups and Tulips started in 2015. At around the same time, I switched from working full-time to freelancing and having a blog was something I’ve wanted to do for many years. I wanted a creative outlet online for all the things I’m passionate about – beauty, skincare, outfits, motherhood. Kind of like a magazine, but a lot more personal, since only one person is writing – me!
My mission is to inspire women with quick, yet effective style and beauty ideas that they can easily apply to their everyday lifestyle.
I currently live in Riverside, CA with my husband and two kids. My daughter Belle is 11 years old and my son Liam is 3 years old.
