When I think of laptop backpacks for women, the first thing that comes to mind is a boring backpack, usually in a black color that looks like something you’d take with you on your next hike or ski trip. A bag that is anything but stylish.

Yes, I agree. The ones I’m talking about are also roomy and have many pockets to fit anything your heart desires. However, I like to keep things on the minimal and simplistic side. Practicality is always important, but I want to pick items that also look good.

I’ve been hunting for a backpack for a month now, and you’re probably thinking, who takes that long to pick a simple laptop backpack? Well, me. I do.

I am specific about what I want, which is great, but it makes it difficult to find such particular items on the market. For example, I have a 16-inch laptop, which is a big issue because most stylish laptop backpacks I find only fit smaller laptops. I also need a backpack that I can wear with my sneakers, a pair of booties, or even a casual dress. Something that can fit my work essentials but will look good if I go to happy hour with friends after work. Affordable and good quality. Should I go on?

I decided to compile a list with all backpacks that I found because I can’t be the only person going through pages and pages of different online stores, trying to find a laptop backpack that works for my needs and looks good.

Stylish Laptop Backpacks for Women

Kaya Laptop Backpack

This backpack was my first choice. I love the square-ish shape; it comes in many different colors. It’s a great option to wear with jeans and sneakers or a cute dress when going out for drinks after work. Stylish and functional, with enough pockets to fit all necessities. The laptop compartment fits laptops up to 15in, so it didn’t work out for my specific needs. In the meantime, I’ll wait for Calpak to design a larger size of this same style.

Metro Backpack Deluxe

This backpack is a bit on the sportier side, but I think it’s fun. The textured material makes it interesting, and although it says that the laptop sleeve fits laptops up to 15 inches, when you look at the dimensions, it appears that you can easily fit a 16-inch MacBook Pro in it. That’s a win!

Neoprene Backpack

This Dagne Dover Neoprene backpack is water-resistant and comes in different colors and different sizes. The medium size fits most laptops up to 13 inches, while the large size fits most 16-inch laptops. Based on the reviews, it’s also very roomy and lightweight, which makes it another great option.

Luka Laptop Backpack

This one is very sporty, but I love the clean design, and I can see myself wearing it with jeans, a leather jacket, and booties. It even has a zippered pocket on the bottom, which is perfect for your gym clothes or shoes. The most versatile colors, in my opinion, are dove gray and chocolate.

P.S. – I ended up getting the Luka Laptop, and I’m quite happy with it. Here is a link to my full review of the Luka laptop backpack.

Celina Backpack

This Celina Backpack is ideal if you’re looking for a lightweight backpack. It fits a 16in laptop comfortably, and it’s very spacious. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but I’ll consider this an investment, especially if you’re looking to use it daily when commuting or traveling.

Bromen Leather Laptop Backpack

I love the color combination of off-white and brown. It’s made of vegan leather, which means it will be easy to clean. It also looks very elegant, and it fits laptops up to 15.6 in.

Kanken Backpack

This is another sportier option, but I have to admit, I like Fjallraven’s products quite a lot. This particular style fits laptops up to 17in, which makes it an ideal size. I like the neutral gray color, but the Ochre is a fun way to add a bit of pop of color to any neutral outfit.
