Those of you that know me, know that I’m a very organized person. Whenever I’m going on a trip I make a list of all the things I’m going to pack. This way I know exactly what to bring with me and there are no surprises.
So today I’m going to share with you what to pack in a carry on bag, or what I usually bring with me when I’m traveling.
Let’s start with the bag. I’m using the Scout Plus 1 travel bag and the color I chose is The Blue Hour. It’s a pretty white and navy pattern that I just can’t get enough of. This particular bag comes in 7 different colors, so you can choose the one that fits your style better. I love it because it fits so much of my stuff and it folds into a foldable pouch that becomes a snap-in pocket. Pretty cool, right?
WHAT TO PACK IN A CARRY ON BAG?
++ TOILETRIES: I usually bring a small pouch to fit all my essentials such as a hand cream, hand sanitizer, toothbrush, toothpaste, baby wipes, lip balm, sunscreen, tinted moisturizer, mascara, eye pads.
++ LAPTOP: I really wouldn’t go anywhere without my laptop, just ask everyone that knows me. Ha!
++ WALLET: Always make sure you bring your ID, passport, cards, and some cash. I found having some cash is always handy. Also, make sure you have copies of all of your documents! I usually have copies that I keep in the cloud. It makes things so much easier if you end up losing one of your documents.
++ MEDICATION: I always bring vitamins and some type of pain reliever.
++ HEADPHONES: I found that the headphones on airplanes, just suck. And it’s much better to bring your own.
++ PHONE: I charge my phone fully before I leave. Download audiobooks, podcasts, and music to keep me entertained throughout the whole trip.
++ EXTRA LAYER: A scarf or jacket, just in case I get cold.
++ WATER BOTTLE: If I’m flying, I will bring an empty water bottle and fill it up once I pass security.
++ TRAVEL SNACKS: Nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, veggies, peppermint tea bags. For veggies, I may cut up some carrot sticks, peppers, or cherry tomatoes. For the fruits, I’ll bring strawberries, grapes, apples. All of these are easy to eat, without getting too messy.
++ BOOK: Sometimes I like to bring a guidebook to my destination, other times I’ll just bring a new book that I plan to finish during the trip.
The bag that I use as my carry on fits all of these stuff and more. I really like the option of using the pouch as a purse. So once I arrive at my destination I can put my phone, wallet, and some lip balm and go explore the city.
I hope this post was helpful and you can use it on your next trip.
