I still remember when I went to look for an epilator shortly after moving to the US. I wanted to upgrade the one I had brought with me from Bulgaria, and I went to Walmart, Target, and Best Buy but couldn’t find any of the big epilator brands. Quite frankly, I don’t remember seeing any at all. Amazon back then was not a thing yet, or at least not what it is today so I couldn’t find one there too. Epilators were just not popular and kind of hard to find. When I spoke with others about using an epilator, they didn’t know what it was and why it was better than shaving. Luckily, epilators are growing in popularity, and you can find them easier these days.
While there are many ways to get rid of unwanted hair, I think epilating is one of the best methods. Below I’m sharing the 5 best epilators for silky smooth skin.
Philips Satinelle Prestige, BRE648
This is #1 on my list because it’s the epilator I’ve been using for the past four years. It works terrific and can pull short hairs that you can’t even wax. It can be used on wet and dry skin, but I prefer to use it on dry skin, and I think it works better. And I like that it comes with a body exfoliation brush because exfoliating before epilating is probably the best thing you can do for your skin. It also has a delicate area cap, facial cap, efficiency cap, shaver head, trimming comb, massage cap, body massager, and storage pouch. Highly recommend you get this epilator case that fits the epilator + all the attachments nicely. One thing I don’t necessarily love about this epilator is that it’s a bit loud when you’re using it.

Conair Total Body Epilator
Conair’s total body epilator is an affordable alternative. It runs for 60 minutes and can be used on your whole body. This epilator comes with a sensitive skin attachment, which is washable and can be used on areas such as the bikini line and armpits, where the skin is a little thinner and more sensitive.

Panasonic ES-EL9A-S
There are 2 similar Panasonic epilators. I prefer the ES-EL9A-S model because it comes with many attachments. If you don’t care about them, ESEL7AP is a good alternative. The Panasonic epilator is waterproof so that you can use it in the shower, but it can also be used on dry skin. It has a large epilation head and two rotating heads, which should help rid hair much quicker than other epilators.

Run Time: ~30 min.
Braun Epilator Silk-épil 9 Flex 9-300
The Braun Silk-èpil is probably the most popular epilator now. The epilation head is very flexible and allows for easy epilation, even in delicate and hard-to-reach areas. This device takes about an hour to charge and runs for 50 minutes. I love that apart from the epilator, there is a cleansing brush, body massage pad, and facial epilator, which I admit I’m very curious to try, perfect for the chin, eyebrows, and the area above the lip.

Remington EP7010E
The Remington epilator is an excellent option if you want something simple. It has 40 tweezers and is corded, so there is no need to wait for it to charge. Just plug it in and get to work.
