Skinny Frozen Strawberry Margarita Recipe

Every time I order a margarita at a restaurant it’s way too sweet. I personally can’t stomach all the sugar. And I have very strong feelings about the sweet and sour mix they use to make it. Don’t get me wrong, I have a big sweet tooth but not when it comes to drinks. For that reason, I rarely order a margarita when I’m out. And this is a shame because I do like it a lot.

However, I also like to make it at home on rare occasions and I feel like the result I get is a much better one.

You should also check out this skinny margarita recipe I posted a while ago especially if you’re looking for something slightly sweeter and a bit spicy at the same time.

Since the weather here is starting to warm up (although not quite sure if it ever became cold enough to call it winter) I’m starting to crave some chilled cocktails and a strawberry margarita seemed like the right drink to start with. The pink slightly reddish color created in my favorite frozen strawberry margarita recipe makes it a great cocktail for Valentine’s day. But quite frankly, it’s great for any or no occasion. Do we really need an occasion to have a margarita?

Today I’m sharing a skinny frozen strawberry margarita recipe, which is so light, fresh, and quick to make. It’ll quickly become one of your favorite cocktails. There aren’t any added sugars, except the natural sugar of the strawberries, and this makes it extra skinny without compromising any of the taste. However, you can always add a few drops of Stevia if you like it sweeter.

If you prefer your skinny frozen strawberry margarita on the rocks, don’t blend the ice. I tend to like it both ways, but most of the time I drink it frozen. It’s so refreshing and the taste of the tequila is a lot smoother this way.
