A 90s image of Kate Moss pops up in my head when I think of ballet flats. She is at a Calvin Klein event, wearing a simple black sweater, white mini skirt, and black ballet flats. The look is casual yet elegant and sophisticated. And if anyone can make a pair of simple flats look cool, I can’t think of a better person than Kate Moss.
Ballet flats in classic black have been a staple in my closet for some time now. However, silver metallic flats seem to be becoming more popular this fall. Could silver be the new black? If so, I’m all for it. After all, silver is a neutral color, and it can be paired easily with other colors. But in my opinion, it looks quite lovely paired with black or white.
Metallic flats come in various styles, each offering its unique charm. I’ve always had a soft spot for Mary Jane flats – that dainty strap across the instep gives them such a timeless and feminine flair. When it comes to classic ballet flats, I can’t resist the simple yet incredibly comfy design, making them my preferred choice for both laid-back outings and semi-formal events. And speaking of sophistication, those metallic loafers? They effortlessly blend elegance and versatility, seamlessly taking you from day to night.
