How to Wear and Oversized Button Down Shirt
Okay, let me start with a confession. I got this oversized button down shirt from my husband’s closet. I used to borrow a lot more things from his closet. If I have to be honest, there is something about menswear, that makes it extra comfortable. Maybe it’s the larger fit, maybe it’s that most pieces have pockets, but it just works.
For today’s outfit, I borrowed my husband’s shirt, which is a slim fit. But in my case, it fits pretty large overall. Personally, I like that, as I mentioned it’s comfortable and it gives me the ability to style it in different ways depending on the rest of my outfit. Since the fit is quite long, I can make a front knot, or tuck it in my pants or jeans.
However, the way I chose to style it today is by rolling up my sleeves and unbuttoning the last three buttons. This gives it a more casual look and since I was already planning to wear it with sneakers, I had to find a way to tie it all together and give it that relaxed and slightly informal look.
For accessories, I chose a dainty necklace, Ray-Ban Clubmaster glasses, and my Furla crossbody bag. In this case, my accessories are a bit dressier, but it works because the shirt is a button-down after all.
It really gives you the ability to mix and match different styles.

Yes! It is so cute to tie a large shirt in a front knot. That’s one of my fave things to do. I love the different style ideas.
