It’s hard to think of one word that would describe 2016.
There were just way too many things that happened in my personal life and I shared a big chunk of my experiences here on the blog. If you remember at the beginning of the year, I traveled back to the states to officially become a US citizen. Yay for that, right? I was postponing the whole process for the last 4 or 5 years and now it just feels right.
My husband, daughter and I did a lot of traveling this year. We visited Germany, Tenerife, Denmark, Luxembourg, Belgium, Bulgaria, and did our fair share of local traveling all throughout the Netherlands. I’m so glad we did this because along came baby number two in route and after he arrives it will be quite difficult to do any traveling. Belle is a lot older and it’s a piece of cake when we travel with her, but having a newborn with you is a completely different beast. All the newborn moms out there understand the struggle. :)
At the same time, I’m so glad I continued blogging. It’s been a real struggle, mostly with writing my posts and trying to come up with useful and helpful content. I’m not a writer so this has been something I’ve had to work on daily. But I love it! So cheers to another year of Tea Cups & Tulips.
So today’s post is really a year in review. A round-up of the most popular posts for 2016. If you missed anything, now is a good time to catch up and see some of the best content shared throughout the year.

I am fairly new to your blog, but I have enjoyed almost all of your posts. I’m not a mom, so I usually skip over stuff about parenting or pregnancy, but I love the recipes, the style and beauty posts.
Thank you! I will be doing a lot more style, beauty and healthy recipes posts this year :)
