Last month, we took a trip to Cancun. Being one of the most popular destinations, I have always wanted to walk on its white beaches while sipping on Mojitos and taking in the sun.
We left on a Wednesday, late in the evening, and arrived in Cancun Thursday morning. The weather was hot and sunny, giving us the perfect excuse to head straight for the pool. We spent the day by one of the resorts many pools, giving my daughter some much-needed “splash mom and daddy” time. Then we went for a walk on the beach, the sand was as white as baby powder and the ocean as warm as bathwater. Something you don’t really see in California. Later that evening, we went to one of the restaurants and had a delicious dinner.
I had so much fun doing all the activities the hotel had to offer. The following day we stayed at one of the adult pools, the hotel had water games, salsa dancing, and sports. So much fun! The Paradisus hotel where we stayed has a daycare center where they take kids on treasure hunts, do arts and crafts, and play lots of games, keeping the children entertained all day. Anabelle had so much fun, she got to play with so many kids from all around the world who were visiting the hotel with their families. We ended the day by taking a walk in downtown Cancun. There are lots of bars and restaurants and it was only 10 minutes away from our hotel.
The next day we weren’t as lucky with the weather. There was a big storm that continued for the next 2 days, which meant we couldn’t leave the hotel. Locals told us that this actually happens a lot in the summer. They will have days where it rains throughout the day but the next day the weather usually clears up. Luckily Paradisus hotel had prepared lots of indoor entertainment for its guests. There was food throughout the day, kids’ activities in the daycare center, live music, drinks, and casino night for the adults.
We had a really great time there! By the end of our trip, we didn’t want to leave but hopefully, we’ll be back in Cancun very soon!
