It’s spring! Although the weather is a bit confusing this year. Pretty chilly for mid-April. Not that it really matters because we’re all just staying home and wearing cozy clothes, right? Speaking of that, wearing comfy clothes doesn’t necessarily mean we have to be in loungewear all the time.
Cardigans are another great option. They’re very practical and so easy to throw on top when you need that extra layer. Cardigans are also comfortable, snuggly and perfect if you’re looking for a layering piece but jackets aren’t your thing.
Here are a few ideas on how to wear a cardigan:
+ FIT
If you’re going for comfort, choose an oversized fit that you can easily wear on top of your jeans, t-shirt, and sneakers. Yet, more fitted and lightweight styles will look good tucked in your mom jeans and styled with a pair of wedges or flats.
+ COLOR
Choose a color that you wear often. If you’re into neutrals like me, probably not the best time to go for a bright neon color because you might end up not wearing it as often as you’d think. This is a closet staple and you want to make sure that you choose a piece that will match with everything else you already have in your closet.
+ LENGTH
A long and lightweight cardigan is perfect for spring and it’s also a great option to wear to work. Try it on top of a midi dress, or wear with skinny pants and ankle boots, etc.
