After years of loyal service, my Luka backpack had to retire. It had been my go-to for everything—work commutes, errands, and even quick trips. But after so much use, it was time for something new. It’s thoughtfully designed, with two zippered pockets in the front—a smaller one for little essentials and a larger one for items you need quick access to. Inside, the bag is spacious enough to hold everything I need, from my 16-inch laptop to notebooks, a planner, snacks, and more. It even has a hidden key leash and a tucked-away water bottle pocket, which I don’t use for a bottle but appreciate as an extra storage option.
A Few Things to Consider
Now for the details: while my 16-inch laptop does fit in the dedicated sleeve, it’s very snug. Getting it in and out takes a bit of effort, so it’s something to keep in mind if you have a larger device. On the plus side, the sleeve is padded, so I don’t worry about my laptop being well-protected.
One thing I miss about the Luka backpack is the side water bottle pocket. I never used it for a bottle, but it was the perfect spot for keeping my lip balm and work key card handy. With the BÉIS, I have to dig into the front pocket for those items, which isn’t as convenient when the bag is on my back.
