My Favorite Sephora Purchases From 2020 - Skincare and Makeup

During this past year, I ended up experimenting with a lot of new products but I also continued using some old favorites. I definitely focused more on skincare products and purchased very few makeup products for obvious reasons.

I’d say that this is the year of achieving plump skin, even skin tone, and finding effective products that fight aging and reduce wrinkles.

In today’s post, I’m sharing my top Sephora purchases from 2020. These are the products that I enjoyed using the most and are worth purchasing, in my opinion.

My Favorite Sephora Purchases From 2020: Skincare

Kate Sommerville / ExfoliKate

I purchased the ExfoliKate out of pure curiosity after trying Kate Sommerville’s Cold Cream, and it ended up being one of my favorite exfoliators. It completely transformed the way my skin looks. It leaves it smooth and glowy all in under 3 minutes. The ExfoliKate is both a physical and chemical exfoliator that uses lactic acids and fruit enzymes to clean the pores.

The Ordinary / Pycnogenol 5%

I did a whole blog post on this serum because I genuinely think it’s such a great product, especially for its price. My skin is very dry, and I noticed that it feels more hydrated whenever I use Pycnogenol, and I have a better skin texture overall. I apply it after water-based serums and before my moisturizer.

Edible Beauty / No. 3 Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum

You may have seen me share this serum many times in my Instagram Stories. It has a thick consistency, just a few drops are enough for my whole face and neck, which means a little goes a long way with this product. It’s also very hydrating and plumping on the skin, and I’m inquisitive about trying more products from Edible Beauty.

Kiehl’s / Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This is not a new product. I’ve been using the creamy eye treatment for quite some time. It’s my preferred eye cream in the winter and specifically in the evenings. Its thick and creamy consistency feels like it really hydrates and moisturizes the eye area. One jar usually lasts me such a long time and I only use a pea-size amount.

Dr. Dennis Gross / Alpha Beta Peel

The Alpha Beta Peel by Dr. Dennis Gross is another favorite that I purchased quite often. I use the Extra Strength once to twice a week, and I think it’s very effective. It leaves my skin glowy and smooth. Apart from that, my skin texture looks a lot better when I consistently use the pads. It looks like consistency is key for everything, including skincare.

Ole Henriksen / Truth Juice Cleanser

I like this cleanser so much because it removes dirt, oil, and even makeup from your skin. I can remove foundation, eye shadow, and mascara in one step. It’s also extremely gentle but very effective. The Truth Juice Cleanser has a pleasant citrusy scent, which is refreshing and not overwhelming.

Biossance / Squalane Oil

I’ve been trying a few face oils, and I’m currently using the 100% Sugarcane Squalane Oil from Biossance. I ended up getting the value size bottle because I liked how it felt on my skin. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and absorbs quickly. You can use this oil on your face, hair, and body but I use it only on my face and neck. It’s the last step in my skincare routine, and one squirt is all I need.

Jouer Cosmetics / Best of Nudes Mini Lip Set

I purchased this set to try it out and because I was looking for a nude lip gloss. It turned out better than I expected. The colors are beautiful, and the set comes with 3 mini lip stains and 3 mini glosses. I actually like wearing the lip stains with a gloss on top because I feel it stays on my lips longer than just applying a lip gloss.

Milk Makeup / Lip + Cheek

This is such a great product! It’s a cream blush and lip stain, that I also use on my eyelids when I want to add a bit of color while still keeping everything very natural. I have the mini size and even though, I use it very frequently, I still have quite a lot left.
