5 ways to wake up without coffee

Some mornings are stressful, and when my alarm goes off in the morning, I can barely open my eyes. It’s at that moment I wish that I would have gone to bed earlier the night before. Instead, I chose to watch one more episode of Handmaid’s Tale. Then right after I finished it, I realized I can watch another one and why not the whole season. Who likes to leave things incomplete anyways? Not me. Somehow I compose myself, walk over to the mirror, and see a reflection that looks exactly the way I feel – exhausted.

I found what works for me on days like these and it’s not to run to the coffee machine. Instead, I try to wake up my body and skin first. Once I do that, everything else kind of falls into place. Keep reading if you’re wondering how to wake up without coffee in the morning!

HOW TO WAKE UP WITHOUT COFFEE IN THE MORNING

  1. DRY BRUSH

I’ve talked about dry brushing. It’s fantastic for your skin, gets the blood circulation going, and stimulates the lymphatic system. If there is enough time in the morning, I will dry brush and then take a quick cold shower. It wakes up my whole body, and I’m ready for the day.
If I don’t have time to for a shower, I will only dry brush my face. Then follow up with my jade roller or gua sha and my regular skincare routine.

  2. FACIAL MASSAGE

A facial massage is like a workout for your face. It stimulates the skin and moves the muscles, which is a great way to flush out the toxins and speed up the skin renewal. It’s one of my favorite ways to wake up the skin after dry brushing. I put a few drops of rosehip oil or pomegranate oil on my face, and I massage for 2-3 minutes.

  3. ICE ROLLING

Ice rolling is a must. Especially when my face is puffy, it helps reduce the swelling, depuffs the eyes, tightens the pores, and increases the blood flow. Overall, ice rolling is just a great way to awaken the skin in the morning.

  4. MOVEMENT

I like to start with a long stretch. It’s the first thing I do after I open my eyes. It helps awaken my whole body. I move my feet, my legs, my arms. Everything! It just feels good, and it gets my blood circulation going. It’s my way to tell my body to wake up.

  5. HYDRATION

Drinking a glass of water makes me feel and look less tired and more awake. I usually get a big glass and add 3-4 slices of lemon, some mint. It’s so refreshing and energizing. You should try it.

Okay, guys! These are my five ways to wake up without coffee in the morning. It’s what works for me, but I’d love to hear what works for you. What are your tips and tricks when it comes to waking up easier in the morning?
